Cécile Nagel, CFA
Chief Executive Officer / Management Board
Cécile joined EuroCCP in September 2018 as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Cécile joined from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) where she was most recently Head of LSE Markets Global Product Development and LSE Exchange Traded Products. Cécile joined LSEG in 2009 and worked in a number of senior roles across the organization including Head of Strategic Planning for the Group and Global Head of Equities and Commodities at LCH Group. In her role at LCH Group, Cécile was heavily involved in the development of LCH’s equity and derivative franchise working in close partnership with Euronext and LSE Derivatives Market. Prior to LSEG, Cécile worked at Oliver Wyman, a financial services strategy consulting firm, and the UK Financial Services Authority (now the FCA). Cécile gained extensive product and client experience from trading through to post-trade during her career. Cécile holds a master’s degree in management from ESCP Europe and is a CFA Charter holder.
Chief Operating Officer / Management Board
Arnoud has more than 22 years’ experience in banking and financial markets and prior to becoming the COO in March 2021, was the CRO at EuroCCP since its inception in 2013, following the merger of EuroCCP Ltd and EMCF N.V. (EMCF). Prior to that, Arnoud was Head of Risk at Fortis Clearing Americas from 2001 to 2008, when he became the CRO of EMCF. Arnoud’s product experience includes commodities, fixed income/interest rate and equity (index) derivatives and cash products.
Edward Hughes (Ed Hughes)
Chief Technology Officer / Management Board
Ed has over 25 years’ experience across financial markets, management consultancy, retail, mining, telco and engineering firms. Ed joined EuroCCP as the Equity Derivatives Project Lead in December 2019, and his responsibilities were expanded when in August 2020, Ed was appointed as the EuroCCP CTO. In March 2021, Ed became a member of the Management Board. Prior to joining EuroCCP, Ed spent 11 years at LCH Limited where he became the COO for the ForexClear service in 2014.
Chief Risk Officer
Jonathan became the CRO in March 2021 and has 25 years’ experience in banking, financial markets, and central counterparties. Prior to joining EuroCCP in 2018 as the Deputy CRO, Jonathan spent more than 11 years at LCH Limited where he held senior roles as Head of Risk for ForexClear and Head of Quantitative Risk. Jonathan’s product experience includes listed equities and derivatives, interest rate swaps and STIRS, bonds and repos, foreign exchange, commodities, and credit derivatives.
Head of Commercial Development
Tim joined EuroCCP in July 2019 and has extensive financial markets experience having worked for the past 10 years in senior client relationship and business development roles in major financial institutions including LSEG and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Tim joined EuroCCP from LCH Limited where he was a Director and Head of Sales and Relationship Management for equities. As Head of Commercial Development at EuroCCP, Tim leads a team of eight people with responsibility for sales, relationship management, client services, marketing, and product development. His focus is on advancing and growing client relationships, generating new business and looking for opportunities to create new products and services that address clients’ needs.
Head of Legal & Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)
Joris joined EuroCCP in April 2017. He leads the Legal & Compliance team and acts as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). His responsibilities include management of legal and compliance matters, regulatory engagement and acting as corporate secretary.
Before joining EuroCCP, Joris worked for 10 years in the Financial Markets division of ING Bank where he advised on (OTC) derivatives transactions, corporate and security law, securities services and custody related matters. Prior to obtaining a law degree from the university of Rotterdam, with a specialisation in banking and securities laws, Joris obtained a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from the Arnhem Business School.
